Native Grasses
20% Wildflower - 80% Native Grass Mix: The varied forms of grasses in this meadow mix provide the main focus of interest. The tussock forming grasses are combined with wild flowers like knapweeds and vetches.
This grassland type can form a good habitat for insects, small mammals, birds, amphibians and reptiles, providing nesting during spring, food during summer and shelter during winter.
Growing Guide: Select an area that is not highly fertile and does not have a problem with perennial weeds. Seed is best sown in autumn or spring, but can be sown at other times if there is sufficient warmth and moisture.
To add wildflowers to the mix we recommend using the following native perennial and/or annual seeds
